SMS Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 22, 2026
These SMS Terms and Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern text messaging (SMS) communications between Correctional Health Partners Inc. (“CHP Health,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and individuals who have provided their mobile phone number to us (“you”). By providing your mobile phone number to CHP Health or any of our employees, you agree to these SMS Terms.
1. Program Description
CHP Health uses SMS text messaging as a means of one-to-one business communication between our individual employees and their business contacts, including customers, clients, vendors, partners, and other professional contacts. Employees may send and receive text messages from their assigned business phone number in the normal course of conducting business with you.
We do not send marketing messages, promotional content, automated alerts, bulk messages, or application-generated notifications through this service. All messages are manually composed and sent by an individual CHP Health employee.
2. No Protected or Sensitive Information
SMS is not a secure communication channel and is not used to transmit protected health information (PHI), personally identifiable information (PII), or any HIPAA-regulated information. CHP Health employees are instructed not to send, request, or discuss PHI, PII, or HIPAA-regulated information over SMS.
You should not send sensitive personal, financial, medical, insurance, or HIPAA-regulated information to CHP Health by text message. If you need to communicate such information, please contact us by phone at +1-619-467-8040 or request a secure communication channel. PHI and HIPAA-regulated communications are handled exclusively through secure, compliant channels governed by our HIPAA policies and Notice of Privacy Practices.
3. Consent
You consent to receive SMS messages from CHP Health when you provide your mobile phone number to one of our employees in the course of a business interaction — including phone calls, meetings, email correspondence, contact forms, written agreements, or an existing business relationship — with the understanding that the employee may contact you at that number by voice or text. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase or receipt of services.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on the nature of your individual business relationship with the employee. Messages are sent only as needed in the course of normal business communication. There is no recurring or scheduled messaging.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier apply to all messages sent to or received from CHP Health. CHP Health is not responsible for any charges imposed by your wireless carrier.
6. Supported Carriers
SMS messaging is available on all major U.S. and Canadian wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their respective subsidiaries. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Opting Out
You can stop receiving SMS messages from CHP Health at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send the message “STOP,” we will send you a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from that number. If you want to resume receiving messages, reply START, or contact the employee directly.
8. Help
For help or more information about our SMS service, reply HELP to any message from us, or contact us at smssupport@chphealth.com or +1-619-467-8040.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Information exchanged via SMS is handled in accordance with our SMS Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
10. Acceptable Use
By participating in SMS communications with CHP Health, you agree not to:
- Send content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the SMS service or the telecommunications infrastructure used to provide it.
- Transmit PHI, PII, or HIPAA-regulated information through SMS, as described in Section 2.
11. Disclaimer
SMS messages are delivered via wireless carriers and third-party telecommunications providers, and delivery is not guaranteed. CHP Health is not responsible for delayed, undelivered, or misdelivered messages, or for the security of messages in transit across public telecommunications networks.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted at this URL, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means.
